i just fixed my horn this morning. It seems a previous owner cut the wires to the horn. My horn is louder than my car and truck. It has a high pitched sound like a small car or a motorcycle just louder. I am pretty sure it is a stock horn.

A few things I would check.

1 Was their water in the horn.
2 Is it getting the proper voltage. Are the wires corroded.
3 as said in a above post the horn is poorly placed and the horn may be damaged.

good luck. hope this helps
