i feel like and maybe dick will respond as a "tech perspective" that since the early models have a few areas of potential problems i.e. mega drain tube not completely formed in mold process and the s.s strap in the bilge leaking water if not sealed properly that the drain is definately needed in these early models. dick may can say at which model year it is not needed, but i feel like it may be most year models. the 190 have a different water issue than the 210's do and i am speaking as to the 210cc models only. the mega tube drain repair has virtually eliminated all my leaks and the only way you will ever know if you have a water retention problem is to install this drain and observe where the water comes from that drains out of it.
