are they filling up from the rainwater or are they leaking from the poor plugs? I kept mine in the water for a week at a time a few times. When it rains there is a little water that gets in, but doesn't usually fill the boxes. and if it does, so what, it's not gonna sink your boat. just pull the plugs while moving with the boat and the water will drain out, then put the plugs back in while still in motion. definitely make the drain modifications, it's a huge improvement and not hard to do at all! I also have a 2001 210cc.
