TM is bow mount and I do not have a bow rail. The deploy mechanism of the Minn-Kota is based on a sliding shaft rather than a 4 bar linkage. When installed on the bow with a bow rail I suppose you could slide the unit all the way out before swinging it down into the deployed position. We will probably need to hear from others that have attempted this to confirm my theory. Be sure you install it on the factory mount, you will not be disappointed.
