The bolt is a 3/8-NC or 5/16-NC by 1-1/4 long. Be sure to get SS and some fender washers for the back side. Also need to use some kind of thread locking fluid like Lok-Tite. This is the first bad thing that happened to my boat. While fishing, one of my fat buddies grabbed the rail and it was loose as heck. We stopped the boat and got into the console and tightened the bolts the best we could. By the time I got it home one of the bolts had fallen out completely and was down there in no mans land never to be seen again. I took all the remaining bolts out and gooped them up and reinstalled them.
