I finally came up with a solution that seems to work great. I purchased a Windline SM-3X ladder and mounted it under the existing swim platform. I found it necessary to also mount another piece of composite deck material of the same thickness under the original to prevent flexing. I then ran some SS carriage bolts throuh the deck material to the ladder below. I placed some SS washers between the deck material and the ladder the same thickness as the SS platform support strap. The ladder protrudes from the back of the platform a few inches but it is well worth it to have a functional ladder. I attached a rope to the bottom rung to pull it back up and place a loop on the rope around the rear cleat to keep the ladder from falling open. Works Great!
