Must Do Modifications

Thought we needed to restart the "Must Do" mod list for the Bay 190 that was lost from the previous site.
Previous mentions have been,
1) adding a second garden hose washer to both bilge drains or completely replacing the drains with stainless still retainer types
2)pulling up grey running boards, clean and drain if holding water then doubling the ss rataining screws, Rule Eleastomeric the panels down and into every screw hole
3)Sealing every nook and cranny through out the hull, stern, center counsole, etc with Rule Elastomeric
4)Scuppers, the prime source for incoming water, if you are running a 4 stroke, have multiple batteries in transome, using transome with ice/fishbox etc, the scuppers go under water line...not so bad if everything is sealed....but the next year the seal won't be so good as the rule starts to dry out....so you can live with it and hope to never have a bilge failure but others have corked them off with plastic and rule, yellow foam practice golf balls, and Whale 3/4" plastic check valves. Your choice, it still an experimental "must do" but eventually, you will feel the need.
5)Seal the front storage/fish boxes with rubber seals and rule elastomeric and a few stainless steel staples so the water coming over the bow doesn't ruin your iced catch.
6)Check to make sure all hoses to and from livewells and bilges are double worm clamped
7)Check livewell motors for cracking or improper installment into their bases
8)Check and properly adjust 4, that's FOUR bunks that should be on your trailer for proper hull support
9) get on your back and inspect your hull for scratches or cracks and check the thru hulls for proper seal and lack of damage.
10) water test your boat on the trailer. plug up the bilge drains and scuppers and see where the water is going.... or hopefully not.
11)should the 190's have inner hull plugs? Hopefully another thread just started will clarify
12)replace those flimsy foam rod holders with anything else
13)add bilge thru hull flapper to prevent back siphoning

So, what's next?
