Lightbulb Tboot

Hey Guys (and Gals)
Was thinking about "trying" to form a local Triumph Boat Owners (and future owners) group here in the Tampa Bay area “TBOOT” (Triumph Boat Owners of Tampa Bay) southward (no limit really) to meet once a month too swap ideas and plan events such as…?
  • Inshore fishing trips and events for the 150, 170 and 190 owners maybe working towards the ultimate goal of fielding a Triumph Redfish Nation Q series http://www.redfishnation.com/QSeries/ Team? Also maybe some weekend group flats fishing trips to the different areas to fish like the Keys for example?
  • Maybe somebody else could plan offshore fishing trips for the 210 / 215 owners here again, maybe with the ultimate goal of fielding a Southern Kingfish Assn. class of 23 team http://www.fishska.com/ if nothing else, to hit the local Kingfish events? Not my cup of tea, but maybe something that Osprey Vic and his super duper rigged out 210 (yea, let’s goat rope Vic) would consider shooting for? J
  • Service and repair clinics for the various Engines and Trailers (the hulls don’t need much attention! Ha-Ha) from the local dealer body…
  • Visits from local inshore and offshore guides on the latest tips and tactics?
  • Group picnics and such at places like Fort Desoto, Island Marine, Long Boat Pass, etc?
  • Maybe a kids group science field trip (this kid also!) to the Florida Aquarium and maybe Mote Marine?
  • I have some open web space that is not being used now that I am already paying for that could be sent up for club use. Not a ton of server space, but we could always mooch some more someplace if needed in the future J
  • And I think I have a real nice place with excellent seafood to have the meetings picked out if there is any real interest?
Now I don’t have any experience in forming a club legal or finance wise, and would defer such to other “more qualified” members so let me know your thoughts and ideas. I also don’t have a ton of time to put towards the process and I dare say, most of that time will be taken in building and keeping the club web site updated, but if the work load is spread out across several key members who knows where it could all lead J

Your thoughts?

Dave
