Hello Dick, Sorry to hear of your misfortune, Your bilge pump will need to be replaced because of it not being disconnected from the power source before a freeze,It still turned on while the impeller was stuck in the frozen water, probably fried the armature,But they are very very inexpensive and easy to install, Get a repalcement on ebay for 20 bucks or so, It has happened to me before when We lived in Old Jersey, I didn't disconnect my batteries and store them for the winter,My bilge pump got a dead short from not spinning and killed what was left of the batteries too. As far as that little box by the fuses goes, It's obvious there was water in the block also and froze and split the box too, Let's all pray that little box is the extent of water freezing in a motor, If you would like, tell me the engine,model, year and horsepower. I'll look it up and find the part for you and a brief explanation on replacing, for the most part, less internal problems, most things are DIY with simple hand tools, Sounds like a lack of winterizing ,IMHO.........Dan
