Mounting one of those integrated tackle storage bins can cost a bit but a cheap way to store plugs, spoons, and rigs rests in marine carpeting. Most home maintenance places (lowes and home depot) carry marine grade carpeting. Also available at many marine outfitters/dealers. Measure and purchase enough to fit in your side rod holder spaces. The holders need to be removed but remember to mark and measure the exact place to replace them or remove them completely and fill the holes with shavings or rule. Then use some marine adhesive to attach the carpet to the side in the exact space. Replace the holders if you choose to. Your tackle can be hooked into for a fast bait change or as a display so that you can view all of your tackle for different angles of attack for those monsters. Just be sure to get carpet that isn't too "bushy" so that the barbs don't get snagged too deep. This mod will even keep your tackle in place in rough water. I learned this trick from my grandfather and we did this to several of his boats. It works great.
See you on the water,
Mike
