Trust me brother, you will not be disappointed with your 170cc. My wife and I just came back from fishing. This was the biggest work out the boat has had since I have bought it(March 05). I have always babied the the boat, but with winter tides in FL it gets real shallow, we were in 1 foot of water and the boat never hit bottom. Now my skeg plate has a chunk out of it as of today, but we never had a problem. WE were in 7 feet when that happened, must have been a submerged rock or something. We decided to go out to deeper water,and it got pretty choppy(light chop my *** acording to the the weather channel forecast), and still no problems. I loved this boat the minute I got it on the water, and now I love it even more. WE have a depth/fish finder)(Lowrance), Sony am/fm cd player,and a Garmin hand held GPS.
