NCSU, I fish the LR area quite often (have a place in Cherry Grove and moving to Sunset this spring-"have a condo for sale"). I go out the inlet at LR and also the Ocean Isle put-in. You will love the 190 for what you are planning to use it for. I go out 5 or so miles and have 'no' problems as long as I use common sense. 3 foot seas is about all I want for fishing comfort, but it can handle more. I also enjoy Spanish fishing and have some success there. Some at the LR reef and also trolling 300 yards from the beaches of Sunset and Ocean Isle. Make your purchase, get a 4-stroke, and go fishing. You won't be dissappointed. If you want to get together sometime and fish the area, I'd love some company. You might consider fishing the MacFest in July at Morehead City for Triumph owners. Good luck. Don
