Xibox:
Glad you found something of possible value and sorry you were board reading the article, however it was NOT written for the experienced boater. There are many new boaters on the site and more joining each day. New boaters probably do not have experience with backing their trailer, much less the launch and retrieval process or ideas on how to preserve their investment.
I consider myself a new boater in that this is my first boat on over 40 years. If I can succeed in having a few new boaters think about what they want to do prior to launch, the launch process, and the retrieval process, then I have accomplished what I intended. By thinking ahead and planning, maybe a new boater will not cause you a big delay at your launch site.
If I can also help other new boaters save money and aggravation by extending the life of their boat, trailer, and batteries, then I will call the article a success.
