Front casting deck rod holder straps
The rest of the pictures on this little project are in the 190 mod section album with the needed part number from West Marine. Now I do not need to hold a mega selection of rods on the front deck with me like the guys on the Pro Bass Tour do, but it is nice when I can reach down and grab another pre-rigged rod with a different soft plastic or crank-bait attached. This when a Red or Snook blows up on, but may miss my first offering (Reds mostly) so to be able to reach down do such quickly, this without having to go all the way back to the console or side rod holders to do such comes in handy and can up that # of casts per hour ratio that helps one land more fish.
I can now also leave them up front with me (secured) when moving from spot to spot quickly as long as it is not real choppy water The other thing that was real nice about this system, is that I did not have to drill any new holes in the boat to mount the straps (top hinge screw used) and holds them quite securely
