Installed the new stainless steal plugs for 2 bilge and 1 inner hull drain on Bay 190. They are 15/16" diameter, an odd size so a 1" paddle drill is a little too large and a 7/8th is a bit small. So, I did 2x1" and one 7/8" and widened then beat it in with a hammer. Why such an odd size?
Second, I think they will work great, Rule them in and set the two screws and you're done. Last, although they are a self attached when unscrewed for drainage, they can be unscrewed further to fall out completely, so best to completely remove when in tow.
Call Dick at Merritt Marine and get a few.
