The reasoning for putting the inner hull drain where I did (other than what I have read here) was that it is the point which was "low" in the center stringer at the same level as the bilge/transom plugs. Would a drain high/above the transom plugs drain all the water? I am sure the dealer did this for a reason....wonder if we need more than one inner hull drain location? I have gotten 5 gallons of water out of this lower location in 2 weeks....wonder if a second higher drain like yours would allow the water to drip out faster thus creating a "vent" of sorts. Or, am I only getting water out of my drain because of the crack in the hull? Are these two areas connected? Guess we need to ask Dick.
