PAX, If your boat came with a fuel filter/seperator it will be in the rear starboard seat storage compartment. It is mounted on the transom wall near the top of the compartment so the filter cartridge can be spun off and on easily.

It should be a simple install if you do not have one already. Your outboard will have a fixed connection fuel line that runs into that compartment from the center under floor area (large hole with all the wires and cables leading to the console), out the boot into the transom well then to the motor. You should only need to buy the complete unit, mount it to the transom wall and then run the fuel line to the "IN" nipple and connect to motor from one of the "OUT" nipples.(There will be two on almost all filter systems.) Only problem I can envision is a lack of enough fuel line. You will not want to stress or kink the line. It should lay loose so fuel flow is not restricted by collapsed walls. Your dealer or local marine supply house should have fuel line of the appropriate size to run a new one from the filter to the outboard. Viola, you are ready to deal with the E10 demons. Just remember to always carry a spare filter cartridge, in a sealed or vacumn bag, and change the filter frequently. They are cheap compared to the embarrasment of being on the bitter end of a tow line. I don't pump E10 yet here in Oregon and I change my filter before every season of use.
