And not only a switch to kill the start battery / batteries... But also 3 way bilge pump switch with either a built in light for pump operation OR a LED light on the console that tells you anytime the pump is running comes in very handy
This way you do not have to kill your main battery (just the pump) if you want to keep others things running like a radio memory if you so choose. The pump though with all of its cycles will kill a start battery in a week or so of constant checking for water from what I remember.
