i purchased an 01 210cc in '04 that had been bottom painted and it was already flaking off when i got it and to date i have had maybe 10% more flake off as well. i dont keep the boat in water and quite honestly am too lazy to go thru about 10 gallons of paint thinner to remove the paint. it gives extra protection from from dings and scrapes with sandbars and the sand bars help "sand" the paint off!!!! just joking,but it is an undertaking to paint and more importantly maintain the paint once applied.
