I would be carful trying that draining while on plane.. I tried it with the through the floor drain holes I have in my fish boxes and it did not work.. I think it would have if there had been like a clam shell covering over the hole on the keel. I think the same may occure with the main drain in the bilge as it goes out the bottom instead of out the rear. It was fun to do that with my old row boat growing up. beat the heck out of bailing it with a bucket
