Bracket problems
I do not have the model in question but I have had the same issue on another craft. I went to the outboard dealers web site and found a wider depth bracket from a larger engine or maybe it was an older engine. Any how I swaped them out and all went well. Looks like some work for you sorry but it may lead to a fix and the cost may not be that great I am always surprised with dealer prices on parts some time we win and others well you know. Welding an extension on the bracket is always another choice.
