Thumbs up Triumph Boat factory tour date is set!

Thanks to Kevin for taking the lead on getting a Triumph Owners of the Triangle get together going. The date is set for Saturday September 16th. We will be meeting at the Triumph Boats factory in Durham (time to be determined). We'll get a tour of the factory to see how Roplene boats are manufactured, enjoy lunch provided by Triumph, hear from some local Triumph dealers about the 2007 lineup and have plenty of time to meet and talk. There will also be some giveaway prizes and fun stuff like that. I've added a poll above so we can gauge the interest. If you are within driving distance of Durham, NC and can possibly join us please do. I know some folks are planning to drive several hours to be there. The success of this meeting at Triumph Boats will determine future events like this.

That would be too cool to see this done, just a shame it's soooo far away from me.

As of right now, the only information I have is what Randy posted in the first message of this thread. I will send Triumph an email to get more specifics. Back in June, there wasn't any new info as Rick had not started putting this together with the dealers, etc. I will report more once I get more information. I do know that it is scheduled for September 16, 2006.

I wanted to do a follow up to my last message. This tour is set up to happen. It will be on the 16th. I just don't have the final details from Rick. I have emailed him and will post his responses. From what we have discussed, he was going to invite Merritt Marine and possibly Portside to attend and help sponsor. Also, he was looking at BBQ for the food and I suggested a couple of places that could cater it. It sounded like we would possibly meet late morning on that Saturday, have lunch, and then tour the facilities. He was going to try to put together some freebies, etc.

I look forward to any additional suggestions anybody might have for this event. You can PM me or email me at kpiver@nc.rr.com. My apologies to K9reno for not responding to his PM sooner. I have been quite busy at work.
