Thumbs up TriumphOwners.net is 2 years old!

I can't believe I let this slip up on me. I just realized today that our Triumph Boat Owners website is two years old! I was thinking that the site went live in late November of 2004 but I did some checking and I registered as the first member on November 5th, 2004.

Of course we've gone thru a number of changes during the past two years and we've added another 2,188 members since then! We've also compiled a lot of great information, tips and modifications for our Roplene runabouts. We've added a lot of photos, made some new friends, had a couple more Triumph Boat Owners fishing tournaments (Mackfest and others) and we've seen the Triumph line getting better every year. I have to remind myself from time to time that Triumph is a young, relatively small but growing company forging a new path of technology that is making a name for itself as "The World's Toughest Boats". Are the boats perfect? Nope! But if I were buying a boat today, I'd buy another Triumph. I might let someone else build the website though. I'm tired!

But before I sign off of this post let me thank Vic (OspreyVic) and Dave (Putershark) our forum moderators for their hundreds of hours of service to all Triumph owners over the past couple years. THANK YOU! And I want to thank each of you that have helped me build this website by your annual support as Captains Club Members. The software and server space are not cheap and you've helped me make the site the best I could with your support. I want to thank each of you that have taken the step beyond lurking and made a post, asked or answered a question or uploaded a photo. I built a box and you filled it up. Thanks! And finally thanks to the Dealers and Triumph employees that have worked hard to make our boats better. Thanks for listening to us as owners and for supporting your product.

To all....happy birthday!
Randy

Thumbs up

Thanks Guys!
It has been some long hours at times, but I enjoyed it greatly and we (Randy, Vic and myself) are working on some new stuff and will hopefully secure some more and new sponsor's to help spur even more growth and development of what we ALL have going here...

My personal thanks to those who have become actively involved with the site and posted a lot of great ideas and photos to our (what was small) Knowledge Base! Many such ideas over the years have even made it onto the next year Triumph models which I think is great

So please keep posting your ideas and pictures and more importantly, I would like to see some more involvement in our other forums then those just directly related with each Triumph model. The fishing and diving forums are not getting the "Market Traction" (for a better lack of words) I thought they would when I worked with Randy to build them And I would like to see more information and ideas posted by the Brotherhood, for the Brotherhood in each of them

Since winter is setting in for some of you, and cabin fever will soon be a full fledged epidemic. What better way to help pass the days frozen inside then writing up your product reviews and posting information? Then when the next season hits, everybody will be even better equipped to get the maximum productive time on the water as possible

Some of our members are also full time fishing guides, like Mr. Williams in the Indy area... I would like to hear more from them on what is working and did work for them this past season This since they spend more time on the water in pursuit of fish in weeks, as many of us do in 5+ years... Podcasting some interviews of these members and others directly related to Triumph Boats, is an idea I am also working on.

The various Triumph Boat clubs did not get much attention as I would have liked to see (guilty as charged), and I would like to see even more of those started after the new year if at all possible. Those take a lot of time and effort I agree... But now that we have as many members as we do, those duties can get spread across even more people so each region and person, is not as busy as they might have in times past... And the winter down time that some of y'all have, I would think that such time would make it a perfect time of the year to start such projects We have plenty of forum space to help with such projects for sure

Thanks again Guys (and Gals) for all your help and support! Feel free to send the three of us any ideas for things you would like to see posted / added and we will do our very best to build it
