Hi folks!
As you may know we've been making some significant changes on the
TriumphOwners.net website over the past three weeks. We've got one more big change to tell you about!
For the past three years
Triumphowners.net has been an "
open" site, where anyone that wanted could register an account and participate in the forums. Many folks who registered did not own a Triumph Boat, but were shopping and asking questions. As a result we had many forum threads asking some of the same questions with little participation from a large number of registrants.
In late December we decided to limit participation in posting to the forums to
Captains Club Member subscribers only. Our goal has been to transition the site to a
Triumph Boat Owners only site.
Here is the great news!
Triumph Boats has graciously offered to provide a
free 1-year Captains Club Member subscription to any new boat purchaser in 2008 and beyond. We wanted to also bring all the current Triumph Boat Owners up to
Captains Club Member status too, so we have decided to provide the first year
free to all current
Triumph Boat Owners and to drop the
Captains Club Member subscription fee for future renewals from
$25 to
$15/year.
To subscribe to Triumphowners.net you
must provide your
Hull ID number along with the other information in the
registration form in order to quality for the free
Captains Club Member subscription. If you have submitted all the necessary information we will activate your account to
Captains Club Member status and send a confirmation email to you. You will then be able to login and participate in the forums, upload photos, list free classified ads, etc. I will have to manually edit each account so please be patient with me. My goal is to have your account active within 24 hours but it may take longer depending on the volume of registrants. Members that were registered prior to January 1, 2008 may
update their account information to quality for a free 1-year Captains Club Member subscription (be sure to send an
email or
PM to let us know that you have updated your account).
Please note that you will need your
Triumph Boat Hull Identification number in order to register for the free
Captains Club Member subscription. You can find your Triumph Boat Hull ID number stamped on the
starboard transom of your boat below the rub rail, if you do not have it handy in your boat sales receipts. The only exception is the 120 model which does not have a rub rail on the transom. The hull ID on the 120 however, is in the same place (starboard transom below where the rub rail would be if it wrapped around the transom). Older Logic Boats ID numbers will start with
LOP and Triumph Boat numbers will start with
TRB or
US-TRB. The Hull ID number will be required to qualify for the free membership.
We have also created a "
Visitors Ask An Owner Forum" where visitors can ask questions of owners. We will also be working on a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page. If a question has already been covered in the
FAQ we will refer visitors to it. If not we'll post your answers for them to see. This will avoid answering the same questions over and over from visitors, allowing us to keep the private Triumph Owners forums focused on the topics that Triumph Boat Owners want to talk about.
I hope you like the changes and I thank you for your patience during this "
reconstruction" phase. Please let me know if I can answer any questions and I hope you will upgrade to the
Captains Club Member status for free, thanks to the support of
Triumph Boats!
Blessings,
Randy Durham
