! have to agree with GGC about keeping the transom as square as possible. I never understood sweeping the back end. It looks sexy, but provides little to no utility. Utility is a big part of the Triumph attraction (remember, no waxing!).

Okay, I'll share what I sent to Dick on Thursday...

Crazy ideas to think about:
- Cuddy in bow with casting deck on top - unrealistic, but the idea came from the Whaler 32' Outrage w/out a casting deck at $190K

More realistic suggestions:
- Head in console
- Beefed-up weight capacity at transom for twin-motor options
- Grab rails everywhere - I especially like the low-profile rails around the bow. They are not more than 3" above the surface, are functional and are not in the way of casting, etc.
- Bilge access that doesn't require removing screws and decking
- Live well at stern - makes for easier fishing
- Rod holders in back and on sides of stern. The back holders are forward the motor[s] and two on each gunwale - total of six holders.
- Walk-thru transom with door

I don’t mind the bait tank where it is on the 210 but 45gal would be nice out west its all about live bait!

Triumph 23 suggestions

Here is some brainstorming ideas

1. Increase the size of the Center Console area

2. Develop a door to enter the Center console instead of the current clam shell entry

3. Incorporate the mega storage area and/or the front storage boxes as part of the center console so in the 23 it would be almost as big as a berth.

4. Insulate the aft fish boxes and improve their fit so they will not take on water that comes on deck.

5. Install pumps in the fish boxes so they can be pumped out while on the water.

6. Increase the freeboard

7. Rise the aft deck to the same height as the 210 center console seating platform, thereby increasing the size of the aft fish boxes

8. If feasible place bait well on transom and increase size.

9. Create riggiing station underneath leaning post/captain's chair.

10. Install Raw water and fresh water wash downs.

11. Eliminate the aft molded corner seats and install removable/folding seats.

12. Create molded bench seats in bow with storage underneath.

13. Beef up the area in the center console where electronics are installed.

14. Keep the lockable storage area for the Center Console - same as the 210.

15. Remove batteries from underneath Center Console, create a separate area in the aft deck.

I guess that's about it for now. Thanks for the opportunity to give my option. This was fun! I may do this again before the deadline.

John

235 Ideas

1- A place to sleep out of the weather, that would be great.
2- Some type of swim platform with a long retractable/fold up ladder.
[Some of us like to check out the fish below the water]
3- I like the storage I saw in the 210 forward of the center console, have some sort of storage like that. Good for storing scuba tanks and dive gear for safety. Maybe you could deppen the side floor storage areas if there is a cuddy area.
4- Rails all around on top of the sides, even around the bow. Keep them low.
5- Storage for anchors in the bow and one of those extender things[?] off the bow for dropping and retrieving the anchor.
6- Besides a T-Top, have an option for one of those rigs that OspreyVic installed on his new 210. Awesome!
7- Single or twin motors, have a choice. Big fuel tank. Something like a 250-300 mile range? [What is the range of a 210?] Make it longer than that.
8- Have a large curcuit breaker panel for wiring in optional equipment.
9- Conduits for rigging electrical wiring.
10- Better attachment of the windshield so the screw don't snap off.
11- Better drainage all around. See # 12.
12- With the newer heaver motors, make it so the aft end of the boat rides higher in the water to help keep out unwanted water.
13- Would a mid-boat docking line cleat be out of the question. Big boat vs. small docks. Could be a pop-up type.

I own a Logic 186 and have only seen a few 210's. I build a removable platform so that I could pitch a tent on the bow making my boat a "cabin cruiser". :^)

Would suggest that t-top electronics box be pre-wired with a fuse panel for
installing radios, gps. and radars etc in the electronics box.

Lots of great suggestions already. Hope this one gets to you Dick before the deadline.

The one design flaw I have the most problem with is the inability to drain the floor hatched storages areas (fish boxes, mega) when boat is at rest or on the trailer. This is a result of the floor level of all these areas. They do not "fall" to the rear. If the mega floor was slightly higher than the open bilge, when the boat is at rest, it would drain to the bilge rather than hold water. Same with the aft fish boxes.

I know Triumph is trying to maximize the amount of storage but a few square inches sure makes cleaning and drying the boat out a pain. If the floor of the mega was a couple of inches higher, no false floor would be needed and there would be no loss of usable space but it would be dry at least.

Also the bilge pump needs a free standing float switch. The one inside the pump housing sticks to easily and causes flooding. This has happened to several of us 210CC owners. If anything gets changed, that is the one I vote for.

Wish I had more time for submission but I was out of town the past few days.

Thanks for all the ideas that were sent to both this site and to my e-mail, I've compiled them into one list [plenty of duplication] and will send it to George Blaisdell who is the VP of operations. I think that this type of input is useful to the factory and to the folks that will be using their product. I know that some of you will be dissapointed that your ideas did not make the boat, but don't give up, keep the ideas coming. As the technology progresses we will eventualy get a Walk Around and a Cat.

Thanks again,
Dick
