Triumph 235 Specifications

As you all know, Triumph is in the process of finalizing the specs. for the new 23' boat. During discussions with the engineers I thought it would be a good idea if I asked the people that owned and ran Triumph's what they thought the boat should look like and what features it should have. So here's the deal, For those of you that have ideas or suggestions, if you would put them in a bulletised format and send them to me at this site or to my Email address, smallboatstuff@aol.com, I will compile the ideas and get them to the factory. I would like to have your comments to me by 10/04/05. I think this a great opportunity for the folks that love this product to have a hand in the next generation product. There will be many ideas that will not be incorporated for cost reasons, technical reasons and Rotomolding technology issues, but I think we might have an impact.

Thanks for your interest,
Dick

Have the specs been narrowed between a CC or a W/A. If so, then the ideas can also be narrowed.

The new boat will be a CC, If a WA is ever considered, I think it would have to be a drop in piece and market survey would need to show nationwide demand.

A small suggestion but on all boats, they should drop the drains in the transom well to be at the bottom level of the transom well plates so water does not have any way to sit in that area. Thus eliminating most of the problems with water sitting in that area.

I am going to try a fix on my own. I am going to purchase some liquid rubber and create an insert to fit very snug over the plates to try and create a higher surface in there. If I am successful, I will post pics, steps, and the products used.

1. Easy to use swim/dive platform. also this should not get in the way of fishing.

2. Or a stripped down model for those of us who like to rig our own boats.

Okay, shoot this down if you want. If it had a head it would qualify as second home to Uncle Sam!!!!!!

Well I am not sure what a Bulletised form is but

#1 All drains should be built in and as low as possible to drain correctly. Inner and outer.

#2 Addition tubes that run through the boat for running electronics,..such as fish finders. Make sure they do not develope a kink along the way.

#3 Wider opening for the bait tank.

#4 If center counsil....bigger and stronger compartment for the heavey electronics.

#5 Minumum 4 pole hole sockets for trolling.

#6 Maybe more fishing pole storage.

#7 Bigger fuel tank...like we really need one :-}} but one never knows.

#8 Built in electric anchor hoist

#9 Built in Bow flood light for seeing the docks at night.

#10 And like the 2006 215 models built in wash down and dual battery switch.

I hope these ideas help.

Well,
Since you have to make a new mold for the 23 footer anyway, might as well run down the road and get the hull measurments to this puppy...

http://www.worldcat.com/products/230sf_photos.do

And "finally" have a real foul weather Offshore boat

I would also change that transom to support a larger single Honda 225 outboard (and free up some space) instead of the 2 Honda 150's (even though they are a sweet engine) and save 15 plus grand for the extra engine and rigging in the process, and really beat World Cat at their own game...

What a smooth ride that would be, a Triumph Cat with tons of storage space in each sponson

No Euro Transoms

JUST MAKE SURE THEY DON'T PUT ONE OF THOSE "EURO TRASH " TRANSOMS

THAT CAUSE YOU TO LOOSE 2 FEET OF FISHING ROOM OFF THE BACK

AND, THE WINNING NUNBERS TO THE NEW N.C. LOTTERY
