Post 190 Rod Holders

Though rare for me to not be able to find something on the Internet I would like to know who the vendor is for the newer style 190 rod holders that fold in, AND do they make a 3 rod model? I am still not 100% happy with my present setup and looking for other options / designs

Sorry I missed the first post Dave. I just got this word back from Triumph:
Quote:
The folding, Starboard, rodholders were designed and produced at Triumph
using our Komo-CNC router. There currently no plans to make a 3 rod
design.

Thanks Randy!
And I guess the guys at the factory just don't see the need to be able to carry 6 pre-rigged weapons to attack the flats with
Maybe one day they can "buy back" my design for a Redfish Tour ready 190 when I finally get done with it
Oh well, onto the next option on my list for rod holders

Starboard is easier to work with than wood although much more expensive. I bet you can design and make a 3 rod holder as that is what I use.....made of starboard but do not fold. Might be able to add a hinge to the premade ones and save alot of money.

Got any pics of the current folding 2 rod model?

Sure don't have any pictures and the factory page does not either Maybe I can get George to post some pics of his 2007 190 that has them

Now wood working is not my bag at all Brother (now pitch me a wrench or a mouse, I'm game ) so I would expect a Doctor of Dental Arts whizz though such stuff blind folded

But if I can secure some shots can you make me a set and I just sent you my Co-pay and we claim on my dental insurance

P.S. How is the new baby doing?

Haha, just stick a drill or Dremel in my hand and I'm good to go!

Now, I have no issues what so ever of my poly rod holders not folding. I did add pvc coated HullSavers as colming bolsters (spelling?) between them. They easily hold my Penn 114h's etc securely.

Are you not able to use the rod holders on the center console base? I can't due to my t-top (but I have 12 other spots.

The boy got his first life vest this Christmas! All is well in the family, thanks for asking.

True and I may need to re-think just getting a set of "fixed" holders before it is all said and done.

The console ones though hold the rods (somewhat they really need inserts to hold them secure) but I hate having them above the console blocking some of my casting lanes. This for I may see a tailing Redfish out of the corner of my eye and shoot a jig in that direction as fast as my daughter can change channels on the TV! Ha-ha..

Glad to see the young man is now "Coast Guard" approved, and all ready for the fishing season

The 4 rod fixed poly rod holders go for @$30 set x 2=$60. You'd spend @$100 on Starboard not including bungee and ss fastners! ouch!

I have never seen a "tailing" red in person but have caught a huge one trolling over Dixie Bar. Looks like alot of fun and there are apparently places around LA (lower Alabama) that hold then inshore.

I understand about the daughter and channel changing. My wife and I are up on Hanna Montana, SpongBob etc. Thank goodness the laptop has a DVD drive!
