Seat order from Triumph

I ordered a pair of capt. Chairs for my 195CC at the end of January and I have not received them to date. I have asked the dealer for a ship date and the last date they gave me was the 20th of June. Nothing came. I have contacted the dealer and asked them to find out from Triumph when they would be shipped and they told me they have called and not gotten a response from Triumph. I do not know if the problem is the dealer or Triumph. But 7 months to order an item seems to be way too long. Is there a way of getting any info from the factory on this matter?

Thanks
Tom

Tom,

I checked with the factory on this for you based on the dealer you had listed in your user account.. I listed their name with initials only in case there is an error. Here was Triumph's response:
Quote:
Well that is the problem... CIBS is not a Triumph Boats
dealer so we wouldn't take an order from them. I suggest the customer contact
his nearest Triumph Boats dealer and we will get out the parts ASAP. A
note for all owners: You can only order Triumph Boats parts from an
authorized Triumph Boats dealer.

Boat seat order

NCangler,
Thanks, I did buy the boat from a outfit in FL. But It was shipped to me in CA where I live.
I ordered the seats from Outboard Center, 5565 West End Road, Arcata, CA , They are a Triumph Boat dealer.

Thanks for the reply, I should have noted the dealer with my first post. Sorry.

I ordered and got a pair of 195 cc captains chairs with the swivel and slide base on them and also the cushions. They were here in a wk. The cost was a healthy 1340 dollars with tax.

195 seats

i ordered these to replace the leaning post in my 190 bay. i did not know that they could be that much, when the dealer told me they were 630 dollars i thought he meant for both. when they came in the bill was for 1300 dollars and they sent the wrong brkts (they were for a pedistal) so i told him that i would pay the shipping back and he was ok with that. then i went on the internet and ordered the brkts from overtons and the seats from amazon, they dont say triumph on them but they only cost 540 dollars. very happy with the seats when i got them. had to have the leaning pedistal rebuilt and it is still at the welder. that leaning post is not made for me and my wife to go on a day trip, our butts hurt so bad we couldnt walk when we got home.

You guys are making me nervous, there is no telling what chairs I will end up with if any and at what cost $. I was told the chairs would cost $465.00 each plus shipping, after your post things could get a little out of hand. Thanks for the info anyways. I do know that the bench leaning post is not nice to my legs or knees.

Angry

I would have hoped for some kind of response from Triumph on my seat order. It seems 7 months for seats is a long time and nearly 2 weeks just to get any response as to why it is taking so long is also a long wait just for a reason. It is looking like Triumph may be the hold up?
