Merc upgrade question for Modern Discount Marine

Cool, and welcome.....I have your first question for help....I have a current Merc 115...I want to upgrade to a 150. Is it worth the hassel, and what kind of a trade in can one normally expect. I can vouge that the moter has at least 200 hours...not sure on the exact as the hour meter broke...it is a 2002.
Reasons for the possible upgrade...#1 more power, # 2 better fuel millage...believe it or not my best is 3 mpg...I know most here have a bigger moter and get between 4-5mpg Oh and it is on a 210cc

The difference for power would be good, cost may be a factor. You state a Merc 115 is it an OPTI or FOUR STROKE? The trade amount would differ for either unit depending on condition. Also you will see alot better performance w/ the 150 on the 210 as I feel a 115 is to small when loaded down. Cheers
