UW Photography

I came across this article from an e-mail posting from B&H Photo Video. Thought some of you divers might be interested in reading it. Looks like Olympus is getting serious about underwater photography.

Enjoy!

2.5 years ago I bought the Olympus C-8080, an Ikelite housing and an Ikelite strobe. The camera is an 8 megapixel camera.
Lately, I have been using the camera as a land camera to get more use out of it.
See www.pbase.com/astrodiver for some of my UW photos I took on a trip to Bonaire two years ago.
When you go to look at cameras, check out this website for the review of the camera's you are looking at.
http://www.steves-digicams.com/ One of the best sites.
Another good site: http://www.dpreview.com/

http://www.dcviews.com/sitemap.htm Another site I had saved.

Later........

I'll check it out. Present Camera is a SeaLife DC500. Getting good shoots with it but the menu is definately a beginer menu. does all the great stuff but it does take some practice to use the menu- unless you know absolutley nothing about digital photography.
