When traveling through the water they empty out,but fill back up when stopped. Is there a check valve that is stuck or is there a simpler solution. Not real thrilled of the thought of taking out the consols to get access to the floor and beyond. Sure wish they had made the floor a 2 piece.

Hey everyone! Very excited to see this forum. Purchased a 2011 17 Skiff w/90 Yamaha 4 stroke only 60 hrs on her. WOW! Between my father and I we have owned dozens of boats of all types and sizes but I must say I have never owned a boat that I fell in love with like this one! At 8ft wide it is the most stable 17ft boat that I have ever been on. Planes instantly, and with the 90 on it adding 5 other people plus full coolers and 24volt TM and batteries the thing still is within 2mph of top speed! Not to mention the ride quality. Took her out to the Gulf with everyone on board and passing shrimp boats we all kept waiting for the SLAM. It just never came. What a great boat! We live on the water here in the Nature Coast and I plan on racking up the hours quickly. If anyone has a question about the Skiffs I'll be happy to help any way that I can. Well gotta go get ready for scallop season!

We are wanting to mount a trolling motor on the bow of our 210 CC and our local trolling motor guy is dumbfounded as how to mount it. Has anyone mounted one on the bow and if so care to share the information and possibly pics? We are looking at the Minn Kota terrova I-pilot.

Thanks,

HI Guys, most of you dont know me, but I was on this site many years ago. I've owned a 2000 Logic 210 since 2004, bought it used with a yamaha 200 HPDI that had 145 hours on it, turned out it was the second motor on the boat, originally had a johnson. well now I've got 800 hours on the yammie, its been great, I've had many good times on the boat and caught all sorts of fish, spent most of my time chasing bluefin tuna off gloucester, ma. back in 2005(I think) I even organized a triumph owners get together in Falmouth, Cape cod, Mass. We ended up with around 7 boats and had a blast, chasing stripers and blues around the cape and marthas vineyard area. I think most of those guys arent around the site anymore but some real good guys for sure! dont even remember their names anymore, would have to look thru my old pics. i will try to post some photos of that trip and other adventures on my boat. look forward to share any info and pic up tips from the members of this site, always enjoyed the site!

Hi,

I have seen a couple of on-line ads for the 120cc, but haven't actually seen one for real. Thinking about getting one for tooling around the harbor up in Maine, and perhaps out among the islands, though in fairly protected waters. I like the idea of the boat in that it seems more durable than an inflatable, but at the same time, seems light enough that I can haul it up on shore when not in use. I saw one ad for a 2001 with a 2 stroke 25. Would like to get an idea how wet the boat is, and what size chop, if any it can handle, and whether it can actually seat 3 people. Also, any problem areas I should be looking for in inspecting one.

Thanks

I'm looking at a 2002 190 Bay with a 90 Yamaha on it. I looked closely and I can see that it was held wrong. There's black squarish marks about one foot by one foot on each side which is obviously where it sat on some poorly designed cradle of some kind. This is closer to the front, maybe four feet back from the bow. The hull is noticeably deformed in about two inches or so right at these points. I like the reported durability of these but these things scare me.

1/ Can the deformed / warped hull be fixed. If it goes back into the water, will it gradually straighten out? Or is this hull scrap?

2/ I've read the stories about the foam getting waterlogged, and the boat weighing a half ton more than it did new. Any truth to that? I saw a 13 feet Whaler getting weighed and it was waterlogged for sure. Closed cell foam can break down and loose adhesion to the skin, any reports of this at all?

3/ This is a heavy boat (especially if you're carrying around some extra water), so is it underpowered?

Run, or look closer?
