What is dealers invoice for Triumph 17CC?

Hello All,
I would like to buy a new 17CC with 60 HP 4-stroke or 75 HP 2-stroke outboard and very basic options. Does anyone know what dealers invoice is and how much I should pay for the boat? I am in New York City but would drive up to 5 hours to a fair dealership.
Also I can’t find any info on invoice boat pricing. There are plenty of sites for cars invoices like Edmunds.com but not boats?

Hi Gary. We do allow discussions on the site regarding pricing as that would be unfair to the dealer network, some of which support this site. There are some dealers that have received high marks for customer satisfaction on this site that you could find by doing some searching. There are a list of dealers that support the Triumphowners.net site in our Sponsors page that I would recommend to you. I would also recommend checking with dealers within the radius that you are willing to drive for support to see the range of pricing available.

You won't find pricing on really any boats. What you will find is lots of prices on used boats and people listing MSRP of new boats. What this means is that if you want a good deal, it's really up to you. Learn to barter and don't go in expecting to walk out with a boat. I'm not sure how sales are right now, but I gotta believe they're pretty low due to the economy and not looking to go up anytime soon. Which likely translates to more barter room. However, unlike cars, boat dealers don't mind holding inventory for quite a while, they also often special order product, so that makes the bartering process more difficult. Basically what it comes down to is find a few closeish dealers, will be tricky because there are only a limited number of dealers allowed per area, and seeing who will do the best for you. As with most things YMMV.

Jfine makes some great points. I will interject though that Triumph Boat sales are up I believe over last year, even in a tough economy. Triumph is a small company but they are continuing to grow.

Good point NCangler! Though that doesn't supprise me too much. Foot for foot, they're less expensive, lighter (cheaper to tow), and get better milage than the competition. It also doesn't hurt that they're indestructible. ;-)

When I was in the market to buy a new Triumph I searched the web every day for about two weeks before I started talking to dealers. I was perfectly happy to buy "last years model" if it had everything on it that I wanted. I eventually found my boat at Merritt Marine in NC and one other East Coast dealer. Merritt beat the other dealer by a significant amount, and were extremely friendly and easy to deal with. My local dealer in Ohio, about 50 miles from me, wasn't even close. Even with having it transported to Ohio I came out way ahead. Merritt went over the boat with a fine tooth comb, and even put it in the water and test drove it before it left there dealership to make sure their would be no problems after delivery, and there isn't a single thing I was unhappy with since I got it.
Don't be afraid to shop around, I'm glad I did.

Buying a boat is not like buying a car,With a boat invoice dosn't matter.They just will not sell
the boat.If you want a good price , I deal with hooked on the bay in Notrh East MD.
