Twitchin' Rap

George and I hit the flats this morning on my boat and it was just a tab bit warm and the water hit 90 degrees before it was all said and done Be that as it may, we still manged to score on one Red and got a fin clip to turn in a 6 foot channel beside a oyster bed on one of these

and was planning on getting some more till Mrs Flipper showed up with her kid in tow and blew out the flat

Oh well, it was more of a training run for my buddy to work on different presentations and tactics as well as scouting run and as I have said before, even if you don't get any fish you always learn something new about the ecosystem you are hunting in

Sounds like a great day of fishing...to bad the catching wasn't as great. That just makes the days where it all comes together all that more special.

Those Twitchin' Raps are also great for Largemouth Bass...fished just over the tops of weeds and around wood cover, they're dynamite. I really like to use them as a follow up lure if I get a short strike on a spinner bait. It just kind of hangs in the "strike zone" and almost always triggers a hit. Great stuff!
