Upper Tampa Bay (lots of pics)

I had a few weeks off from lawschool so I've been hitting the inshore fishing pretty hard lately. Most of the time I've been targeting snook in the residential canals, but I've also caught good numbers of sheepshead, trout and redfish as well. I managed to get dialed in pretty good on the snook and every trip is producing large numbers of snook.

The trick this time of year is finding the warmest canals and then trying to locate the warm spots within those canals (temperature read on depth finder is a must!). I mostly used scaled sardines (shrimp for the sheepies) casted underneath docks and right up against pilings. Now it's back to the books and the fishing is limited to the weekends.

Every trip starts with some chumming and then this:

And then it's time to start fishing...
