And good thing I can get to many of my spots using the trolling motor since fuel is gone through the roof on it's way to the stratosphere

I am also a little worried about the pressure this is going to put on all the inshore fish stocks since going offshore is out of site fuel wise. This since not enough people practice CPR (Catch, Photo and Release) in my opinion

We have a concern here, around the New Orleans area, about the pressures on the inshore fishing. But it doesn't have anything to do with the price of gas. There are fishing guides, as well as private citizens, who have rigged up there boats with halogen lights and generators to go fishing for redfish at night. The use bows and arrows to shoot the fish. It works something like going bulleyeing for rabbits, etc. As many as six to eight people will head out on one of these boats, and from the stories I've heard, most of them get there limit of redfish.

Berto, I'd like to think that they would stop the bow fishing, but I'm afraid they won't do that until they have problems with the numbers of redfish. Even if they stopped them from bow fishing at night, that would be a big help in reducing the number of redfish taken. That would give the redfish a more even playing field.

Hmm sounds good.

Ive never fished for snook or Redfish but it sounds like a good trip. Mayhaps I'll have to come down and try it either after I retire in May or next year if the seasons over.
