Late father's day report, local so.cal. lake w/pics

After opening some gifts and cards, i took the gang to a local lake for some trout fishing,We were there about 30 mins. when my oldest gets bit and fought what i thought was a good size trout, this thing was rippen drag (2lb. string) and she did a good job staying with it, then it jumps and i saw that it was a nice bass....

we had a steady bite and they had a great time, "rainbow fish" as they call them or not i'm just glad i got them on some fish,
few more pics, my second oldest hooks one but wanted nothing to do with the picture so big sis steps in..

then my youngest gives me a hand...

waiting patiently....

I had four bait rods set up, with crawlers and 4lb., so it was pretty fun pulling in bass on my light trout tackle, i was completley thinking trout, all were lip hooked and safley released. After lunch they all went for a walk and i went down to the canal and landed 4 more nice ones on a popper. It was great being out there and we all had a blast.
