Cool garmin 498

dose anyone know if this unit has a mph in the gps? when i bought the transducer one had temp mph and dual frequency the other had temp and dual frequency the later is the one i got thinking the mph would be in the workings of the gps and it was comfirmed be the staff at west marine now i am not able or not sure if the unit has this option?

Yes it should.

However it will not give you "Water speed" as your transducer does not have the little paddle wheel, your gps should have a section on one screen/page that reads relative speed.

This is like air speed verses ground speed when you are in an airplane.
