Chart plotter upgrade
Getting ready to upgrade to a chartplotter/fishfinder unit. Was looking at the Garmin 440s. Looks like every thing I need except for a way to move my waypointss from my old GPS76map or my laptop. Can this be done via the SD card slot? if so what free software is out there? Any one try it yet?

Reeldive,
I went from a garmin 178C to a 545S model. Both use different size SD cards. I took my old unit with me to the GPS store where I bought I new unit. They downloaded my numbers to a computer and then to a SD card.Then they plugged it into the 545S and downloaded the old numbers.I now have my old numbers on an SD card that I can update along the way. The 545S is awesome!!! John D.
