Post Distance Calculator

Had a buddy at the office today walk up to my desk and proceeded with the lead in line "Hey Dave since you were in the Coast Guard how far apart is it between a set of Lat and Long wave points if they are only seconds apart ?"

I told him (while laughing), "Well that was over 20 years ago Brother, but roughly hundreds of feet pending on how many seconds we are talking about here. Close enough to find a drifting boat with radar for sure..., So what is your real problem buddy, somebody give you some bogus reef numbers to fish on ? "

Sure enough he had been given from two different sources, numbers to the "same" wreck and was not able to find it on his GPS / Bottom machine or by snorkeling since the visibility under water that day was not all that great.

So I ran a quick Internet search and found a link for a free tool for him that worked for his needs. So I thought many here may also like to use it all for plotting distance for your next offshore trip / wave point hops. This without having to fire up the GPS on the boat, or break out the chart and take measurement's. So try this page out and see how it works for you

Enjoy!
