At least while you are within about 8 miles of shore
 http://www.srh.noaa.gov/tbw/html/tbw...relessPage.htm So I would check your local NWS web site to make sure those data feeds are also possible in your area

my latest cell phone came weather.com ready through the cell service. helpful dodging summer showers in the sound and anywhere i have a signal... i wish they would put a few antennas on the offshore weather/ light towers so we could use our phones farther out
