Any suggestions for Radar unit on a 210

Just recently started shopping for Radar Units. Does anyone have any preference on brands or models (ease of use, easy to read). I realize that a purchase like this should not be based on cost, but I am on a semi-tight budget. I do a lot of early morning trips and would like to have a little back up set of eyes.

Maybe not cost effective in the short run but I have owned Furuno units for over 12 years and they cannot be beat in quality and service in the long run. Their tech support is great and their NavNet system is on the leading edge of technology. I was in the exact same position you are now 12 years ago and happy I bought their system. I bought the NavNet as my second system and never thought of anything else. Nice thing about their NavNet is you can add options to the single unit down the road as you can afford it. Buy the radar now and add the sounder, GPS, and fishfinder later.

I went to the fishing and boat shows and price matched between retailers and got a great deal. You don't want to be in soup or in the dark on the water. Certain items on your boat need to be the best and radar is one of them.

Good luck and stay safe.

masterfishslayer, welcome to the site.

There have been a number of owners that have asked the same or close to the same question in the past.

Please try using the "Search" tab at the top of the page and just search on word "radar". I am sure you will find lots of reading material and different ideas.

We really like our radar unit on our 210.
