I wanted to share my dove hunting 2008

Since we can post anything we want I wanted to post a report of my dove opener, incase there are other hunters here.
I met up with a friend we were to camp for 3 days and hunt the dove opener. It was hot, his generated died, I get a call to bring mine, but that only fixed the problem for 8 hours, then his A/C died.....ooooooooooooooooooh was it hot out. Anyway we had a good hunt, here are a couple of pic, can you guess who was the uninvited guest??

Sounds like fun! So, do I dare ask how many shots per bird did you average? I swear sometimes those little birds are armor plated...either that or they see the shot coming and dodge the pellets!!

Anyway, thanks for sharing...glad you had a good time.

Lets see, 48 rounds 10 confirmed kills, unforunately there are always the partially hit ones, that become food for other animals later. But I would guess an average of 3 shells per bird. Afterall there was sooooo many, it was hard to focuss on just one bird at a time, did you notice the 2nd picture of all the birds along that shrub line?

Dove Hunting

Good fun! I must admit I definately used many more shells than I could account for in birds. A friend once described it as trying to shoot F-16s with a slingshot. Hope you had a great time.

nice pics Genelie I thought I was the only one who had the snake luck. plenty of them here in Fl. Bow season opens this weekend down here. If I had not been b orn and raised here I would probably agree with my northern neighbor when he said, 90 plus degrees and your going hunting, He's got a point, butcha gotta love it. JEB
