Wink live well,01 logic 210cc

I purchased my 01 logic 210cc used, now that stripped bass season is in full swing in Virginia,I just started using my live well,to "cull "the catch.I have noticed that it looks like parts are missing to the filler tube, unless I close the seacock in the hull when I am underway the live well drains, then I have to pump more water in the well..can regular pvc parts from lowes or home depot be used to fix it ? I have looked at the photos and it looks like I am missing the whole filler tube..or is this a dealer item??? any suggestions,,as always thanks in advance for the help...

Alas --the disadvantages of getting early model year versions of the 210cc.
i moved the inlet from the bottom of the well to the top by cutting a new hole there and installing an inlet fitting that has a valve built into it so i can keep the pump running at a flow rate not to overflow the well .i had to splice a short piece of tubing up to the new inlet and having put a 12x14 access door there helped in making this possible. i plugged the bottom orig. inlet hole and still have to drain the well onto the deck. i plan on either putting a drain plug in the bottom orig inlet hole and running a hose on the side that will allow me to tee into the 2" overflow hose in the bilge or cut a new drain hole in the bottom of the well and teeing into the 2" hose.
either will require pulling the well unit from the deck and i will wait till i have to repair the screw holes that hole this unit down to the deck. i have 2 screws that have failed and so it won't be long before i pull the unit.
forgot to see if i posted any pics on this mod of if they are still in the camera. check my photo album and see it they are any there

you have any plans of going to oregon inlet later to chase the ocean stripers. i try to go weather permitting most weekends from jan-mar
try to see you there if you plan a trip

Question logic live well

tks for the reply,do you think I could put a 90 off the current fitting and then run a piece of pvc with a stand pipe as the filler tube,I have seen other live wells on differant brand boats done this way, they just change the height of the stand pipe to control the level of the water...any thoughts????

I’m not sure if your 01 is the same as my 03 but that’s exactly what I did a 90 a pvc pipe with a cap and ¼” holes drilled all the way up. I leave my pump running all the time and my tank circulates gently I also modified my drain to draw off the bottom of my tank here's a shot of the inside of my tank if your interested.

Thumbs up live well,01logic 210cc

Calicokid....your set up is what i will try,,,I think it will work,in order to drain the live well,do you just unscrew the 90 and let it drain via the thru hull ??also do you remember what size fitting you used...and you mentioned that you keep the pump running all the time??I thought once you reached the right level, you stop the pump and use the airerator to keep 02 going to your catch...Im still used to a cooler full of ice, nothing this fancy...

In my tank there is a rubber drain plug in the center of the bottom of the tank that goes in to fill and out to drain, I think that’s a later model thing with the70gal gas tank. It drains overboard there is also a overflow about 7/8ths of the way up the side that allows the tank to fill to a point and maintain that level while water is being continually pumped in. I’ve covered this with a half of a pipe so as to draw the water up from the bottom of the tank instead of just skimming the top off, this also drains overboard both drains attach to the same thru hull fitting in the bilge. Judging from what I’ve read if your boat has the 85gal gas tank your set up will be different but exactly how I’m not really sure, I cant imagine a “bait tank” without an overflow that would allow a constant flow of water but then in So. Cal. we base a lot of our fishing around live bait and I tend to forget that our love of sardines, anchovies, mackerel and live squid is the exception not the rule. The fitting in my tank is a garden hose thread to ¾” pvc slip connector then a stub of pvc to the 90 its been awhile but I believe that’s how it went.

Good Luck

I just checked the photo it was a garden hose to 3/4" adaptor then a male/female 90 to the straight pipe cap the end drill the holes in line up the pipe.

I just added a timer to keep the water fresh and always full. The timer has an adjustment for different cycles which you can adjust to control the height of the water in ther tank. This was a real easy fix to the problem.
