Bow Cushion

I am a new owner of a 1998 15' Logic and I absolutely love it. I have some questions though. I have lost my bow seat cushion. The cushion next to the helm seat is faded also. What is the best, cost effective way of replacing these covers? Do I need to take the boat to the upholstery shop and let them have at it?
I am also thinking about adding some fishing rod holders, and I need advise for the best place to mount these. I have a bimini cover and I want to keep my rods from getting in the way. Thanks

Zekekb,

Sorry I can't be of much help on the cushions...but as for the rod holders I have a couple of ideas. First off, if you're looking for rod storage, I see a lot of folks (me included) mount these types inside the gunnels.

For holding your rods while fishing/trolling/moving from place to place I use these:

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...300&hasJS=true

They are much easier to install than the traditional stainless flush mount holders and are fully adjustable to position your rods exactly where you need thim. You can also seal them with Rule very easily so no water will get into your inner hull. I mounted four flush mount bases toward the rear of my boat just beyond where the bimini top reaches so I can tilt them up for traveling and down for trolling. I have posted pictures in the 170CC modifications section. I also mounted two rail mount bases at the front of the boat for when I have more people fishing with me. The actual rod holders just pop out of the base and can be moved around or stored when not fishing. These are just a couple of ideas that have worked for me. I'm sure there are many different ways to solve your problem, please post some pictures when you finally decide upon a system.

Contact Dick at Merritt Marine as they have a lot of Logic stuff and maybe they can help out with the cushions. It's worth a try.

I use the PVC type rod holders from Wal-Mart, I think they are about 2-3 dollars apeice. Have 8 of them, 4 on each side. Flush mounted ones will void the warranty(I believe)
