Smile Love the 210 / Bilge Pump question

hello everyone,
I just wanted everyone to know that the wife and I have taken out our 2001 210, twice now into the gulf, and had a blast, it handles like a dream, Compared to my old bayliner, I would have never thought of purchasing a logic, if I didn't come upon this site, I do have a question hope someone can help me out with, my baitwell pump does not seem to be working I have power at the swicth and my light works but don't think the pump does, also my washdown pump is not working, is it possible for both pumps to be bad? any help will be greatly appreciated! Is the bait pump, located by the billge pump? thanks.

Try this, switch on the pump and see if you can hear a hum or feel something with your hand on the pump. If you can "feel" the pump turn on, you're getting electricity. If you can't "feel" the power at the pump, the next step would be to get a voltmeter and actually check the connector at the pump.

If you've got power it's possible the pump may still be good but have something stuck in the impeller causing it not to pump. You'll have to take the pump apart to check that. Some pumps will require removal while others have a quick clip arrangement to remove the pump portion from the power head.

If the pump is clear, the impeller blades are in good shape and it's getting electricity and not spinning, you need a new pump.

Before you start testing everything open the bilge and reach under the water pump to be sure the valve is open. This same valve lets in water for both the bait well and washdown. I leave mine open all the time.

Forgot to add...on mine, a 2000, the bilge pump is located port side and the washdown/bait well pump is located starboard. The baitwell pump and the washdown share the same water inlet.

Not to question anybodies know how. But on My 170 I have little reset buttons. The same thing happened, my bait well would not work all of a sudden. After fishing all day and a lot of cursing about it, it dawned on me just to hit the little nipple and Shazam it worked. Like I've posted before I am not the most mechanically inclined so you probably have tried that already-just trying to help.

Bilge pump

I too have a 01 logic 210 cc, the raw water and the bait pump share the same sea cock inlet...If I open the seacock and run down the river, water is forced into the live well without even using the pump,,,it will totaly fill the bait well and over flow if you dont catch it...I dont know if it supposed to work that way or not, so I dont use it much...when you get your pump running see if yours does the same thing.

well I think my pump is bad I don't feel it running, and my breaker will pop every time I use the pump and light at the same time I haven't really did much more trouble shooting yet, ben to busy fishing. Tommorow I will do more on it and the wash down to see what I find, thanks for all the help I sure do appreciate it, Oh Cfirth my bait tank also fill up if my pump isn't running when I am on plane, it fills about a quarter of the way.

Your pump could be perfect and you could have a dead short in the wires going to the pump. Pull the pump and hook it up with clean wires to a battery and see if it runs. The symptoms sound more like a dead short rather than a bad pump.
