Question Logic 210 CC 2000

Hello,
My name is Jack and I'm new to this forum. I'm looking at a 2000 Logic 210 CC. I've been reading the posts and am a bit concerned with water in the hulls and compartments.
Is this a big deal or am I over thinking it. Any help on what I should be looking for or at on this model would be welcomed. How do you all like your boats?

Thank you,

Jack, welcome to the site,if you check the forum section most of your questions will be answered...my best advise is if you are not new to boating and have owned other boats, take the one you are looking at for a sea trial..you will be simply amazed and the ride and the comfort..the issues with the boats are well detailed in the forum section,if there are issues, they can be fixed fairly easy and inexpensive...the prefered mods can be done for under $200 and a little time... on this site you have a whole panel of expieranced people that have done the prefered mods complete with photos in most cases,I always say it like haveing your own factory tech at your finger tips, the members have been great with any question I have, and offer tried and proven advise...also dont forget to check the classifieds on the site, you just might find a better deal.

Jackattack - Feel free to pm me if you want to chat non-publically. My main message is I think the tendency is toward overreacting regarding the inner hull water and fish box water. In my 03 210 (bought used) I finally drilled a drain but got a whopping few tablespoons. Some guys have had legitimate issues with cracks or thru hull fittings, but they are in the serious minority.

The fish box drains are slow and ineffective, but they are just a nuissance. Boat for the money, and ride, has left me a content Triumph customer. This forum was and is a big part of my comfort and enjoyment.......Barry "Bite Me"

heer here, yes the inner hull for most of us is nothing to worrie about. I have yet to put in a plug. I know there is some water in there, just because when I relocated my new sonar the old scew hole dripped water. It was minor. as for the fish boxes...I clean and use a manuel bilge pump...cleaned and drained in less than 5 minutes.

i own a 2001 186 and have done all the mods. as needed with very little costs or trouble. It really has made my boat dry. We just love the ride and safe feeling of the boat. Just get one and you'll love it.

i would be more concerned about the motor you have on the boat rather than the boat..

the boat will be fine at 6yrs old as opposed to a 6 year old motor.

just remember the early models like the 2000 have 85 gal. fuel tanks and with the live well full of water, the boat is a tad heavy on the rear end . if i had it to do over , i would have put the largest hpdi 2 stroke rather than the 140 four stroke on the used '01 210 hull i bought. i have had to do several things to my boat ,but i look at it as making me more aware of how the boat is made and enjoy not getting cut to shreads as with previous glass boats.

we have a good logic section and welcome your input on anything you come up with should you go through with the purchase

The guys at Merritt Marine guided me over the phone as to what i needed to do. I drilled a hole in the rear directly in the center of the hull and installed an additional drain plug, also inside the boat i removed those gray covers that you walk on... and drilled toward the rear compartment and installed a hose to connect the two compartments so any water inside the boat would drain toward the rear and on out of the boat.Do exactly what they tell you at Merritt...i tried to seal those gray covers with a foam / rubber weatherstrip...it only caused the covers to not set down properly so after a month or so i took the seals out.Merritt told me not to seal it up but it looked like a good idea..WRONG!!I also installed some 1" or 1.25" plugs in scupper holes from the inside. I've had no problems since.. NONE! The only grip i have is DRY STORAGE there is none. Every compartment on the boat gets wet. I'm getting ready to install some additional rod holders on the sides. My speedo sticks some what don't know if it needs cleaned out or what, i have'nt looked into it.

2001 Logic 210 CC

Thanks for the input everyone. I looked at the boat on Saturday and really liked it.
I'm going by on Sunday for a sea trial. Illogical the boat has a 2003 130 HP Honda 4 Stroke W/150 hrs. and prof. mantained. What do you think? The boats in good shape the motor looks brand new. I've negociated to 14k. Hows it sound to you or anyone else out there? I think I'm going to buy it Sunday if all goes well.

Thanks again.

I've said this before...the only person's opinion that counts is yours. If you're happy and the seller is happy, then it's a good deal. If you like the boat and the price is something you're happy with, "pull the trigger" and don't look back. Enjoy!
