Soft Floor - choice cure would be what?

I have lovely 2001 21CC that is marked BLEM, tho I didnt know it at the time was due to the soft floor in 2 areas - base of the mid-hull step-up, and forward of the mega hatch, also base of a step-up to the anchor hatch. I believe there is an expensive fix involving more blown-in polyethylene from canisters, but I am wondering the following:
1. is this simply cosmetic, and not a sign of worse to come (I fish 10 - 12 days a year in Mass, in saltwater) - or will this get much worse even with moderate use?
2. Does anyone have experience with stainless steel plates, heavy plastic etc fastened via the hull sides to prevent weight (stepping, standing) from being applied to these defective flooring areas??
Thanks, Tom in Boston
Im new to this site - so apologies if this has been discussed ad nauseum in the past - but my quick search didnt turn up much.
Dick C.- you helped in the past on the phone - maybe you are watching new posts like this?

my 01' 210cc is a blem as well and i have the same foward mega soft spot as you . there is nothing gonna happen in that area to cause you any concern. it is where the plastic did not meet to form a solid kiss off point. i don't give it a second thought as i go about using the boat. you also don't have a lifetime warranty either and i have a bad feeling you may not be aware of that either. however, i dont let that be an issue either as i have done so many upgrades and mods. and the boat is as good as any warrantied boat with the exception of the blemished ---not defected area.
if you have any other concerns or questions ,i will be happy to answer them. also, there are some general issues with your 01' that doesnt affect the later model years and they are detailed in the logic forum of which most of the topics were posted by me .
dont worry ---be happy!!

Tom, berto is correct, the soft floor should not cause a problem and it's not just a blem problem, all the older boats were sustiable to soft floors. We have fixed many of these boats by injecting foam under the soft areas. We drill a 1/2" hole on the top of one of the cross hatch anti skid bumps and inject 2 part foam, then weld the hole. The problem is that sometimes it causes a bubble floor, firm, but now it's up! If it's really bothering you, have your dealer foam the soft spots. I'm not sure what the cost would be, we use time and materials.

Soft Floor

Thanks Berto and Dick - sure appreciate the encouraging words - that floor is just one less thing I need to fix! Berto - did you say you have a post or list for 21CC for 2000/2001 hulls that might be informative? is this the best way to ask for that? I dont know how to go elsewhere on this Triumph site to see photos, or do a good search on model-year-specific posts. I have been doing email like this on Edmunds.com for chat about my specific truck, but this site works a little differently. Thanks guys, really appreciate the volunteer hours that go into this feedback.

click on the forums word at the top and it will list all the catagories of discussion randy has set up for us. there is one called logic boats and it covers all pre triumph branded boats. there are a number of posts of things to check on as an owner of a logic that the factory has corrected in more current models. just a heads up of things that could become an issue and many upgrades that bring the logics to current specs.

Soft Spots

I have seen 2, 215s with soft spots in front of the mega hatch and they were not being sold as blems. I wonder how significant it needs to be before they call it a problem.

I have a couple soft spots also on mine, have gotten so used to them not even positive where they are, think in front of the rear transom storage areas and in front of my rear fish boxes. no problems with them other than when new people on the boat ask about it. 440 hours on the current motor and there was one before that. this boat can take a pounding. no worries! have fun with it!

Where are these boats marked "BLEM"? I'm going to take a look at an '01 210CC this evening.

"Blem" would be stamped over or under the hull #
