15' Logic-Good Deal?

Hi All,

I have been looking for a 17' CC, but just came across this listing:
http://sandiego.craigslist.org/boa/359177314.html

Looks basic, but the motor is a 4 stroke, which is a hige plus for me.

Anything good or bad I should know about this model? Mainly looking to use it with my son and I? Does not appear to have much freeboard, which is a concern with my son.

Thoughts/comments please.

Thanks

Pete

Pete,

I purchased a 150 last year. Mine has a 50 HP merc and runs great - a nice solid boat. Size will be an issue for you if you add seats. Two people can fish comfortably, but a third makes it crowded. This is my second season with it, and I'm ready to upgrade a few more feet.

Pete,

The price is right for what you are getting, as long as the motor runs clean. I paid $7000 for my 2000 150, but it is more loaded than what you are looking at. Mine has a fishfinder, trolling motor, more seats, fish boxes up front. I'll try to attach a photo. If you have doubts, go bigger.

Ok, I am still interested in this boat. The hull is a 1997 Logic side console, and the motor is a 2002 Mercury 4-stroke.

How big of a deal would it be to add another seat to the rear of the boat and a stand-up style seat to the bow?

This will be a temporary boat for a year or two until I can save enough $$$ for a 19' CC. Do you think it would hold its value for resell?

Also, looking for any further details on a 1997 15' logic. Cannot find anything on-line.

Thanks

Pete

Pete,

Sorry - I don't have answers to your questions about resale value. Dick at Merritt Marine may be able to help you with information about adding seats.
