adding rod holders to Logic 210
Hi Dick,
just wondering about adding 2 more rod holders to my Logic 210, looking to increase my spread while trolling, mainly for tuna up here in the Northeast. is this a problem, need good strong stainless ones and just wanted to make sure there arent any issues. thinking of putting Rod Riggers in them too, what is your opinion on these? looking at some newer ones called EZ Out Rodders. Rich Marron Stowe, VT PS - bought a few things over the years from you! |

thanks Dick. I've never had any problems with the holders pulling out either. how about drilling the holes for them, mine currently have tape on the bottom of them that someone put on there(wasn't me, but I bought the boat used) don't really like it because it prevents the rods from locking in there. is it there to prevent water seapage or something? the water will get in anyway so not sure about this.
maybe I'll give you a jingle about it. although I bought some double rigger rod holders so I can put 2 rods in the one holder for now so I won't be adding right away. |

tape was a cheap way of trying to seal the bottom of the holder to keep water from entering the foam inside the gunnel. on my 01 210 i pulled these holders off ,removed the tape, screwed a 1/4" barbed x male hose fitting in the bottom and ran a piece of clear tubing out the rod storage holders below the rodholders as seen below
