01 210 S.S. support bar moved to protect fitting
i just realized i never finished listing all the things i saw needing to be done on the 01 210 logic. In keeping with the 1 mod per post i will explain why this was done.
I do not have a before pic ,but the bar that supports the rear floor panel behind the livewell was installed IMO too close to the live well and too far away from the fuel pickup elbow fitting coming out of the tank. there had been reports of guys having this fitting breaking off at the tank from the weight of people/gear on the rear cover. the gray lids used in the early boats were not starboard and will sag and warp. the fix is a simple one, however i would recommend a second bar to be added near the tank fitting and leaving the orig. one as is. You can see if your local dealer can get you the bar and 2 holders or contact Merritt Marine for they have them. i would also consider a second one to be put behind the fuel tank to help prevent it sliding back should the support brackets ever fail. if the picture downloads you will see the new location of the s s bar and the old location was about midway back to the livewell--you may see the 2 screws that indicate where it was located
